Dog parks in Brampton

Parks are listed in alphabetical order; designated leash free parks * are on top. Maps indicate the exact location of the dog park even within larger parks.

 Bramalea Community Park

Highway 410 and Williams Parkway View map »
Accessible from Williams Parkway East, park is on the North side just after you pass Hwy 410. Note: you can only enter the park travelling west on Williams Parkway.

The Bramalea Community "off leash" Park (BCP)has 2 areas - 1 for smaller dogs and 1 for larger dogs ... like most parks, everyone seems to use the larger pen. The park is designed oddly on a hill. This causes obvious problems when the ground thaws or ir rains. Water and mud trough at the foot of the hill and elevated pavement and covered area where Tim Horton's toting owners gather.

The off leash area isn't bad ... 3 stars. The best part of the BCP is non-off-leash area. There are many sports fields and a huge natural habitat re-growth area. After noticing many dogs and their owners walking the fence line that boarders the 410 Hwy side ... I followed suit. While I don't advocate breaking city ordenances ... this walk is much better than the off-leash park. I have heard that city animal control sporadically patrols the park ... I know of one owner who was given a polite warning. I've taken my dog along the warn fence-line path at least 20 times this summer and have have no issues ... I trypcally go in off peak hours during the week and wekend. I don't reccommend this walk while soccer and baseball season are in full swing ... unless your dog is on a leash.

If you live in the Brampton area ... it's worth the visit.

The park is nice. I use the small park most of the time because the some of the big dog owners do not watch thier dogs enough and do not pick up after them. I have seem people come in and sit at the benches with thier backs to the park. How can you be watching your dog? The benches should be replaced with solid benches as some dogs jump up on them and get thier paws caught. Overall I like it

 Chris Gibson Park

Behind the Chris Gibson Recreation Centre. To get to the Off Leash Area, try to park at the east side parking lot.

No details yes:( If you get to it before I do please send in a review. Thanks.

This park is very dirty there’s dog poop every where will not go again.

 White Spruce Park

Heart Lake Road / Bovaird View map »
Entrance if off of Heart Lake Road (to the west), follow the road into the parking lot. Dog park is right by the tennis courts.

No details yet...if you take a look at the map it seems like it's a fair size park in a nice park with no high-traffic roads nearby in a residential area. If I lived in Brampton I'd definitely give it a try.

This is one of the three designated off leash parks operated by the city of Brampton.

Families are not welcome at this park - it is adult only. I'm not sure why this rule is necessary, but have to assume the dogs attending are the reason, since we've never run into this anywhere else.

I don't know if the other off leash parks in Brampton are the same, but I do know the ones in Mississauga are family friendly and generally have responsible owners with well socialized dogs, bring the kids.

It doesn't have to be an "official" off-leash park, any dog friendly area has its place on our website. If you feel comfortable taking your dog there and have good experiences then we want to hear about the place! Thank you all for the updates.

Ask your friends to donate to animal rescue organizations and shelters instead of buying you presents for your birthday or for Christmas. Learn more at the Donate to Dogs website.
