Hamilton Leash Free Zone
End of Dartnell Road, next to the SPCA View map » Follow Dartnell Road until you get to the SPCA on the left at the very end of the road. The dog park is on your left.
This park is adjacent to the Hamilton Burlington SPCA. I forgot my camera when I was here so sorry, no pictures. The park has a fenced in area (left of the gate) and a more grassy larger part (right of the gate). I stayed in the fenced in flat part (I was in a hurry) but I was told that the other side of the park has water where dogs can swim. You can visit the SPCA while you're in the area and maybe come home with a new dog! My 2nd dog, Olive, is from here and I know you've all heard it before but it's definitely true: adopted dogs are full of love and gratitude!

Warren Park
East end of Tally Ho Drive View map » This park is actually in Dundas, ON (not Hamilton) but got classified under Hamilton dog parks because of its close proximity. Turn on to Overfield from Governor's Road and right onto Tally Ho Drive at the end of Overfield. The park entrance is to your left. There is parking for 4 or 5 cars by the entrance, additional cars can park on the street.
Warren Park is one of the few off leash dog parks in the area that has water where the dogs can swim and play around. There is a pond in the park that has shallow parts and deeper areas - perfect for water-loving dogs. My new dog, Olive, learned how to swim in this pond and we always have endless fun here. This park is real gem: the people are very friendly, dogs have lots and lots of space to run around (the place is several acres large) with plenty of shade, grass and water. Follow the path in the park and you'll find a few benches along the way as well as winding trails surrounded by beautiful trees. There are no poop bags, however and there are only two garbage bins that I know of so come prepared with bags and hang on to the poop until you get to a garbage bin. Your dog will get muddy and wet but you don't have to because there is a wide trail with gravel where the less adventurous owners can walk along. Great park - highly recommended!
